A Trip to Thomas Town at Kennywood
When I caught wind of the all-new Thomas Town zone opening this late spring at Kennywood event congregation, found southeast of Pittsburgh in West Mifflin, Pa., I respected the opportunity to look at the child centered fascination. The recreation center welcomed zone media out to see Thomas Town, so on July 28, I stuffed up the family and made a beeline for the "Island of Sodor."
I should admit, my 2-and 4-year old children have a valuation for Thomas the Tank Engine, yet they aren't stalwart fans. They do, in any case, have a sound fixation on everything transportation-related, so I knew the new area of the memorable park (it opened in 1898!) would be a major hit.
Depending where you live in Northeast Ohio, Kenywood is a simple 2-to 3-hour head out, which makes it an incredible day-long experience. It's a curious park (with some advanced rides and attractions included en route, obviously) and is an extraordinary, simple to-explore measure for families with youthful youngsters.
